I was born and raised in Modesto, CA where I lived with my parents and brother until I moved away for college. I attended San Jose State University for my bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies and my Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. I now live in San Jose, CA with my husband and our golden retriever, Penny. On the weekend you can find me exploring Lake Tahoe, hiking a local trail, or enjoying a cup of coffee at the neighborhood coffee shop with my husband and Penny.

This upcoming year will be my 16th as a teacher and 15th in kindergarten. I attended California State East Bay. I have a new Cavapoo puppy named Ollie who continues to make each day an adventure. I enjoy watching football, traveling, road trips, and I have been learning Italian. I’m looking forward to getting to know my new students and introducing them to all the fun and learning kindergarten has in store for them.

This is my 19th year teaching and I have taught K & TK at Montague. I taught kindergarten for 9 years & first grade for 2 years, in Los Altos. I worked in the district office as part of the Behavior Support Team in 2012. I have two teenage boys and the younger one has autism. Behavior, whether positive or negative, is all a form of communication. I believe that every child learns in their own way and my goal is to find out what engages your child. I feel social skills are just as valuable as academic skills!
