Special Education

Celeste Dolezal
Ms. Dolezal

Hi! I grew up in the Bay Area, and currently reside in San Jose with my three-year-old daughter Sylvie. I've always been interested in language and words, and in college began to study linguistics but quickly switched to studying communicative disorders and working in the university clinic with children. I worked as a paraeducator with an area non-public school for about 5 years before deciding that what I really wanted to do was teach, and have been teaching elementary age students with special needs for about five years now. My philosophy is to meet my students where they are and help them to get where they need to be with a blend of patience, understanding, humor, and high expectations. I love learning from every group of new students that comes into my classroom.

I have been teaching at Montague for four years. I attended San José State University (B.A., M.A., & Teaching Credential). I love teaching and I love learning. When I'm not teaching, I love spending time with my daughter, my husband, my huge family, and friends. I love visiting new places, learning about different cultures, baking, and reading.
